Preceptors play an integral role in the educational process for health professions students by: providing learning experiences that further develop clinical skills, helping students acquire new competencies, and improving of professional development. Community-based preceptors work with students during clinical rotations to develop the requisite skills required to practice safe, ethical and quality health care.
Tobacco Cessation Resources
UF AHEC is part of a statewide Network of AHECs funded to provide tobacco training and cessation throughout the State of Florida. The overall goal of the ATTAC Program is to strengthen the capacity of Florida’s healthcare system to deliver effective evidence-based tobacco use treatment, cessation, and prevention services throughout the state.
